We have a Sporttrek 290 VIK, 2016 model. The electric fireplace quit working, I pulled it out and found that it plugs into a receptacle mounted on the back wall. I plugged it into another outlet and it works fine. The outlet it normally plugs into is reading about 32 volts, even unplugged from the connector and reading from the "hot" side. I tried following the wire but it goes into the floor after a short distance. I have checked the breaker box and everything seems to be fine there with no breakers kicked but I'm assuming that everything branches out from the breaker box but I cannot find where the other end of the wire is coming from. I wrote customer service a few days ago but like the one other time I emailed them with another question no response. Anybody had a similar experience?

Not familiar with theses, but lets roll some dice. All I see listed under "Specs" is Fireplace. So that helpful- note to Venture (better info is needed in SPECS). So is it AC or DC powered? If AC, with the meter in the receptacle, flip breakers until you lose power. Then check that breaker to see if it has the full 120v out. If DC, pull fuses until you find the circuit the fireplace is on, and check that voltage.

I called customer service on an issue and got through. The Customer Service Rep has been great... very responsive on a warranty item and working with our local dealer. Did you try calling KZ (who owns Venture). I don't have access to my camper right now otherwise I would put the phone number in this post. The phone number was in the owners manual.

It dawned on me that I had not checked the switch that has to be changed to choose between running the fireplace or the air conditioner. I did not find anything that was obviously loose but whatever I did either to the switch or possible loose connection in the one wirenut in the outlet box fixed the problem. Thanks for the replies

Way cool... Love when that happens. Probably that loose connection.
