So I got one of the Spottreks back in mid-December, and went camping once. Had a list of issues, for which I dropped the camper off at the dealership on January 16th. I just got it back, today, April 7th.
Among other things, they had to fix the recliner couch, replace the front window, and fix some seals on top of the camper.
Upon inspection, I noticed that the couch was not fixed, and that the seals were not done. Rather than wait for another ? month to get the couch replaced (which they said they would now hope to do), and wait for dry weather for them to fix the seals, I got a tube of the self-leveling seal, and got the camper back until the couch arrives, to trade it out then.
However, I missed one critical piece, the install of the window did not go too well, apparently. I now have a crack in the laminate below the window and some scratches that I've not yet been able to buff out.
Will have to see what the dealer is going to do on this, tomorrow.
Some pics attached.
Had the camper for about 3.5 month now, 2.5 of which it was in the shop.
And one part that is sad from a Venture perspective: My dog chewed off 5 of 6 removable decorative buttons from the dining area backs. Venture says they cannot replace, unless the entire dining area is replaced. -- I know this is of my own cause, and would have expected to pay for those buttons. ( I just need the cloth material, and can do it myself .) But that appears to not be an option.
Note: I've bought from this dealer before, about 12 years ago, different location. Had some things that needed to get fixed (don't remember what it was). They had me come by, drop it off for a couple of hours, then I was able to take it back. Excellent service!
