It looks Like the Forum is growing and nice to see. I am with others here are on the Facebook Group too. I encourage the FB folks to join us here, so we can all expand our information database to enjoy our Ventures and adVenturing. Hope you other VFF members here will do the same.

How did you get your information to show up on your posts, Jim and Laurie... etc. I tried several things in profile and nothing shows up.

Captainbob, Go to your profile, then to "edit". click on tab that says "personal", towards the bottom there is a box that says "signature". Fill that in with your info you want, then click on "save personal settings". I think that should do it.

I agree with Jim regarding Facebook folks joining this forum. I don't have a Facebook account, and never will. When I was with the Las Vegas Police Department I attended an 8 hour class on cyber crime. The instructor (a detective with the Cyber Crimes Unit) said the #1 way people have their identities stolen is via Facebook. In the class of 30 people, 3 had their identities stolen, and all 3 had Facebook accounts. Of course the instructor couldn't tell in the classroom how the 3 people had their identities stolen; maybe Facebook, maybe not. All three people said the experience was painful and costly to get fixed. I learned enough to stay away from Facebook!

dlakeman, Good information and thanks for that. The nice thing is that we are lucky however to have more than one way to communicate with our fellow Venturers. Unfortunately in this day and age we have the cyberthreats, and it is definitely smart to monitor and take in consideration when choosing which ones we choose to use. Thanks for the help on this.
