Has anyone used slide out support jacks? We use the stabilizer jacks but still feel a bit of rocking motion when moving about the TT. We spoke to a friend who says because the slide outs create unbalance that he uses these slide out stabilizer jacks and it pretty much eliminates the rocking motion. I found them on Amazon but not sure if I need 2 for each slide. Anyone use these and if so what is your take on them?

My experience is that the springs on the rig are the greatest cause of instability. So... I cut 2 2x4s into half, attached a loop screw to each (at about 1/3 of the way up), then put them under the frame leaning diagonally and connected via ratchet straps. Then ratchet those right. That seems to take care of a lot of this instability.

I just saw these at a camp site in Va that was more permanent sites. The sporttrek had these, but I never saw the owners to ask. Mine makes alot of movement on my 343bhv. I want to know how to fix this. Hey wolfgang, take some pics. I am not understanding your description.

The manual on my 2022 211VRB says to not use slide out jacks.

Slide out jacks can eventually damage your slide out. The rest of the trailer will shift around on the suspension, or even may sink a bit on the stabilizers (if you're not on concrete) while the slide jacks put pressure against the slide.

I don't use the jacks because the manual says not to. I don't want to damage my slideout. I can envision being at a campsite, the slideout gets damaged due to using the jack, the slideout is stuck extended. Now what do I do! I'll live with a little motion, and follow the Owner's Manual.

Very clever fix. My '22 281vbh has the jacks factory installed at an angle for " better stability" Thanks for sharing.

do not know about using the slide stabilizer jacks.
but i use X-CHOCKS, which I have found helps stop the motion from the suspension

I used the slideout supports on my last trailer and they made an incredible difference. I also used 2 pairs of scissor jacks to steady the rather flimsy frame of that trailer.

I use X-Chocks and put a couple of jack stands just in front of the front tires.
