Hey Guys, new to the forum and new to the Venture camping world.. we just purchased a Sporttrek 251 vrk and so far we love it. Took it in our maiden voyage this past weekend. The issue I had was with the control panel, I would push a button to see the black/grey, or even the battery level and the light would flash for about 1/2 second and go blank. Try pushing each one again and then no flashes at all. Everything seemed to work just fine, I did not see or have any issues with everything operating properly. I checked the fuse box and everything looked good. I tried using just battery power, with and without shore power.. and nothing seemed to work. Just curious if you guys have any idea what it could be, and is it something simple to fix? Luckily it was just two of us and we knew we wouldn’t fill the black tank in three days, if not I would have not been able to check any levels... thanks for any help, I appreciate it..

Sounds like a bad panel. I have the same model and have no issues. Mine is a 2019 251vrk but I would assume the panel is in the bathroom by the sink, same as mine. How about the 3 switches on the panel for the water pump and water heater? Do they function and light up?

My panel is located behind the tv, where the entertainment center is. All the other lights on the switches work. Is there any way to upload a video on this forum, I could upload it to give a better idea of what it actually looks like.

The option to add an attachment does not appear in the quick reply, but if you quote this post you will see the Add Attachment button upper right and you can show us a pic. And seriously? Your panel is behind your TV? So you have to pull the TV out to use it?

My tv is on a swivel, and yes, I have to swivel it away from The panel to access it. I’m not sure a pic will show much, other than my finger pushing the grey water button and no led lights. Another thing my wife and I thought was strange was the fact that they did not put a shade over the skylight in my bedroom. As a result, once the sun comes up my bedroom is as bright as can be.. it’s all good until you want to sleep in or take a mid afternoon nap.. lol

Sorry about my not real helpful comment , but having that panel behind the TV and not being able to use it without swiveling the TV? What was Venture thinking on that! considering Venture builds some great rigs that just puzzles me. Venture! that isn't user friendly! Ok enough rant from me.. lol.
As for the light issues , I'm not sure who makes that panel, I'll look at ours on the bathroom wall. There should be a manufacturer website for it and at least some information there to get you started. However it does sound like a bad panel and should be covered if still under warranty. Good Luck!

My panel didn't work well at walkthrough at the dealer. They replaced it before I picked the trailer up. When the tech didn't seem very surprised that it didn't work well, I figured out it was a known issue.

Alternatively, it could be that the wires were not connected correctly. It usually flashes when you 1st press it, but then only the circuits that complete a circuit will light up. So, if something isn't connected properly, either at the tanks, or behind the panel, then you would not see anything light up. Either way, that's something to take it back to the dealership for.

Our bedroom vent is the same, we bought a roll up shade that is designed for that vent and a reflective cover for the bedroom door window and it's nice and dark now. Funny I always thought the bathroom, right behind the faucet on the left side was a weird place for the panel but it's definitely better than behind the TV, clearly not an improvement from the 2019 model i have. Now that i think about, its actually a good spot as you cant see any light from it at night, unless you get and go to bathroom, then there is actually enough light to see lol.
