Hi all...Our TT is a 2021 211VRB and our TV is a 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with the 5.7LHemi. We have the factory trailer brake controller and a Fastway E2 WD hitch. Tomorrow at noon we leave for our second "shake down" cruise, going a little less than 150 miles away to the Augusta, WV area. The weather forecast is 80% chance of rain showers. Not severe weather, but rainy nonetheless. I've towed a couple of pop-ups in the rain but never a trailer of this size. Any not-obvious tips? I plan on driving slowly and carefully, with headlights on. Thanks.

Good afternoon. Frankly you have the basic idea; go at a reasonable speed, plan ahead, look ahead, and begin your stops early. Do not take fast, sharp turns.
YOU GOT THIS!!!

Thanks Matt. I have to admit to being a little nervous, even though I know what to do. We're doing a farm camp, via HipCamp. Tomorrow is all rain but Saturday looks good. And, in early July we're headed to Aberdeen, NC for another farm camp from HipCamp. The owner of the farm is going to teach my wife how to make goat cheese, I will have golf clubs, vodka will flow and hopefully the weather is good.

In a rain storm, I run the Expedition in 4H for more control and better handling.

Good advice. I think tomorrow's rain won't be stormy so hopefully 4H will not be needed. I may need it once we get to the destination, since the directions say to take a dirt road at the farm.

On our trip from STL to Traverse City,MI, we left in a rain storm and it took 4hrs to get out of the system.
All the previous cautions should be heeded. I'm gonna add a few more.
1) Dont use cruise mode if pavement is wet or grooved. Very Dangerous.
2) Some state and Fed highways have grooved pavement, which is very squirrelly. It can induce sway into a perfectly normal system.
3) Always use your mirrors and keep track of semi trucks around you. HWY 80/90 (EAST&WEST) has alot of traffic. Getting blind sided by passing trucks is bad, really bad if your spooked when its raining. I kid my wife, that she needs to get a muzzle mask, during times like that. You dont want added stress of yelling and worrying while navigating.
