I purchased the Dish "portable" antenna system. There are different antenna options from fixed on roof to portable (as mine is). Also antenna size and style are options. The antenna must have a clear view of the Southern sky to receive the TV signal. When I don't have a clear view of the Southern sky I have already recorded hundreds of programs and movies on the DVR that plugs into the Wally receiver. I simply watch those programs or movies. www.dish.com/outdoor-tv/satellite-tv-for-rv/

Use www.tvfool.com to find the direction and signal strength if you bring a directional antenna. It will also let you know if there is even signals to find.

Antenna is Omni directional where you can’t move it. Three more camping trips and no reception 🤬

Omni antennas have half the signal strength of a directional antenna. I had a ladder on the back of my trailer so I could mount a 10 foot antenna mast and add a good directional antenna on it and pick up tv stations from Mars.

Today with my round omni stock antenna I am unable to scan any channels. My neighbor next to me has one of those bat wing antennas that you crank up and rotate towards tv towers. They are about 4 feet tall off the roof when in the up position. They told me they get 10 channels, I get zero. I would think I would get a couple channels. I will try swapping out my short coax from tv to wall and see if that helps. Cables to anything are about 90% of all problems. I used to clamp a 10 feet pole on my ladder with a motorized directional antenna and could pick up channels from the planet Mars : )

I originally said I didn't get any channels when scanned, I did get 5 channels when I scan but none of them were watchable or didn't come thru at all. I guess I will need a better antenna.

I notice that the direction of the TV tower that my A/C on the roof is blocking the omni antenna from getting a good signal. Why in earth would KZ Venture place an antenna right next to the A/C unit. I rescanned late last night and was able to pickup 5 channels. When you are in a heavy treed area in the mountains and if the wind is calm a nd the tar]ees are not moving will =give the antenna a little better reception.
