First time out with the 2021 231VRL hooked up to 2015 GMC Yukon Denali we bought last week. Looks like I need to tweak the WDH just a little bit, I think lower the head one notch and take a couple of washers out to reduce the tilt. Went out to dump tanks to re-winterize and hit the scales. I'm at: 3,000 lbs Front Axle, 3850 Rear Axle, 6850 GVW (with trailer connected). 1050 lbs tongue weight, 4700 trailer axles, 5750 Gross Trailer Weight (pretty much loaded except for food). I've got 2x 6-volt GC batteries and 2 almost full propane tanks up front. It's important to know your actual weight v. weight limits. My Yukon GVWR is 7300 lbs, so I am good. My GCWR is 14,000, so I am good. However, my tongue weight limit is 1,000 lbs with a WDH - so I am 50# over. I need to make sure that any more supplies I load are behind the axles in the trailer. I can put 450 more pounds in the truck (I was at 7/8 fuel tank level), wife is about 160#, dog is 6#. The GVWR for my trailer is 5860. So I've got 110 lbs left for food and drinks. Hint: many "abandoned" DOT weight stations still have power to their scales and you can pull in and do weights for free. I checked the "abandoned" DOT scale about 25 miles from house against the local CAT scale and it was within 50 lbs.

I commend you for taking such important actions to ensure your family's safety, and the safety of others on the road. So many times I'm driving on the Interstate and see people towing trailers that are obviously either not loaded properly, not balanced, or overloaded. And they are driving way over 65-70 MPH. One thing you didn't mention was tire max speed. My tires are clearly marked 75 MPH Max Speed.
