It's a steep learning curve coming from a different forum. I've been active, and still logon to PopUpPortal. It is a large support forum for new and existing popup owners (also travel trailers). Many members have moved on to travel trailers, but have chose to stay. I find the Portal more user friendly and able to move around quicker. Buttons at the page bottom to jump back to the page top, one button to see all new post, one point notification of all the threads you've posted to, etc. I assume that each forum has its own software, support, and server requirements, but it's nice that it evolves to help the user.
So far, I have not found a thread on how the forum works. Looks like everyone is a Newbie RV'er, but one.
It also looks like once Venture created the Forum, it's hands off for them. I do see a few post by a Global Moderator, but pretty rare. It would be nice to have Forum request section, a "Back to top" page button. and a section that list all new messages so you don't have to look for them.

Agree it is pretty hands off by Venture here. I did notice that there is a help button on the main forum screen. That might guide you a little bit. I noticed that everyone is a "newbie rv'er" too. Still wondering about that too. Needless to say , great to see you here!

Hi, Jim & Laurie ... As you continue to post comments, your status will upgrade. When you joined the Forum and hadn't posted anything yet, you had one star and were referred to as a Newbie RVer. As you'll notice, you're now a 2-star Weekender RVer! The Forum is set up that way, and has nothing to do with how many years you've camped.

Thanks for the info, Mod. I kind of knew that from other Forums I've been on. Actually it was WrkrBee that posed the query. I think you all are doing pretty good with the setup here. As it grows it will be even better. What will be really helpful is that the Moderators and Venture factory folks continue to respond and guide owners and prospective owners here. For all that's an easy win-win for a bright future of Venture IMHO.

Jim & Laurie, We could certainly have a more noticeable presence, to be sure. We do monitor the sites several times each day, and try to get involved when an issue seems to be headed south. The KZ and Venture Forums are intended for folks with similar interests and similar products to locate each other, share their experiences and passions, impart wisdom, and share hacks and tips - not be a soft-sell opportunity for the company or a shortcut around our dealer body or customer service departments. Sometimes, that's a hard tightrope to walk, and I know we could do better. Having said that, I personally think we have a great bunch of Venture folks on here, and appreciate the civility and respect they display to each other when communicating. Some forums can't boast those qualities. Thanks for helping everyone enjoy this great lifestyle ... we appreciate your input! Michael

Thank you for providing this forum. My husband and I have been camping for over 30 years. Starting with a tent, pop ups, 32 foot seasonal, rentals , and now we just purchased the Sporttrek 271VMB. We have 9 trips booked between now and October. So excited to begin seeing the US!!!!
