Is there any info on the "Prewire Zamp Solar" option? It seems like a good idea, but there's no info in the owner's manual about it.
I guess a wiring diagram would give the info I need, if someone has that for a 2015 Sonic 190

I'll answer my own question, though I'm unsure if it's correct. Everything I have found so far indicates that the "prewire" is just a connection to the battery. You can't plug a solar panel straight in, you need a solar charge controller.

I think you’re correct. Our 190 has one 100 watt panel and a separate charge controller mounted inside. It’s like all the other ‘pre-wire’ features like the Wi-Fi, rear camera, etc.

You need a charge controller, and the rated amps of the controller must be enough to handle the output of your solar panels. I have a Zamp 30A charger controller. It will handle 510 watts of solar panels, and it will work with most battery types. I have 2 Zamp 170 watt solar panels on my trailer roof and one Zamp 45 watt panel on a storage box on the back of my trailer. That's 385 watts total so I'm will under what the charge controller will handle. Don't forget the correct connector port on your roof.

Thanks! I'll have to look on my roof again.
