Hello.
I have a 2021 STT312VBH. I would like to install a windshield cover so when we are traveling, any rocks getting kicked up will not damage the windshield.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you.

Excellent question. I've been thinking about it too. Hopefully someone will have an answer.

There's a guy on Facebook I'm following getting a custom one made. Tim E Simmons on the SportTrek RV Owners group. 2 weeks ago he got a template made and is getting a cover made at an upholstery place .... he's going to keep us updated as he progresses. If something comes of it I'll post it here too.

Lots of people on the Forest River forums have been getting them made at boat shops. They’re used to making padded vinyl covers for things.

I was thinking of just having the windshield tinted, I know that doesn't help with flying rocks. I was at a rv park where somehow shade screen that were on all windows. They were all snap on.

So on Facebook, under the SportTrek Owners group, Tim E Simmons posted about his cover that he had made and how he attached it to the front of TT. Contact information for the company that made it. They still have the template with Tim E Simmons name of it. The web site is www.autodetailspot.com/He also mentioned how he attached it: "Hey everyone I got the cover an hopeful I will have it installed in a couple of days. I will give you a break down of the cost. The cover is made of the same type of material that boat cover is made of so it cost is a bit more. But it is cleanable and it dries well with out mildew. The cover with the metal snaps was about $170. Just for the cover it self. Then I had to find some adhesive snaps ( www.amazon.com/.../dp/B000NPPX2W/ref=mp_s_a_1_6...) I have 54 snaps on the cover. Each package is $13 ea. I got 7 packages. So that was almost a $100. dollars. I could have had the screw in type installed for cheaper. But I don’t what any add holes added to our RV. So the total cost was around $275 give or take a dollar or to. I know that the cost is high. But if it works as planned an it keeps the window safe from any damage. The peace of mind of a chance of any leaks." Anyway you can check out his post on Facebook.
