Just a heads up about Furrion's backup camera's don't work 100% with certain late model SUV', trucks and Tesla's. Something about the special wiring on some of the vehicle will not maintain the correct voltage for the display and camera maintain a signal. A special pig tail cable is need, it's called 7/way power adapter switch that Furrion makes for these certain vehicle wiring. The cost is around $55 if you can find them. They are installed between your hitch 7pin plug and your trailers 7pin plug.

I finally gave up waiting for the special power adapter from Furrion to make my backup camera operational on my Tesla. Along with other problems pulling with the Tesla I went out and purchased a good used 2015 Ram Semi truck to pull the trailer. The truck will remained connected to the trailer in a storage facility so I will be ready to go camping in a blink of an eye : )

I have a 2022 Ram and for some reason the camera will not power up when it is connected to the trailer. I tried plugging into the power pigtail for the monitor and that worked out with no problems, plugged it into the trailer just like the video and instructions tell you and there appears to be no power to the camera. I even tried to connect the trailer to the truck and got the same result. Is this what happened to your?

You have to turn on your truck's parking lights.

For the person planning to leave the truck hooked up to the trailer, you should probably unplug the 7 pin connector so the trailer does not drain the truck battery.

I once left my 7 pin connection connected and both trailer and truck batteries were dead in a couple days. Another lesson learned.

You have to turn on your truck's parking lights. Yeah, I found that out after googling and watching U tube videos, they really don't tell you all this in the installation instructions and once I found out I felt like a less intelligent person..

I use benz gle350 as a tow vehicle. When I leave my vehicle connected then I just put headlight switch in auto mode. This disconnects rear cam.

You can't use lights on "Auto Mode", has to be parking lights or headlights.
