I have a 2021 SportTrek 312VIK. My alarm has started going off "occasionally." I have turned the propane tanks off and pulled fuel through to the water heater, stove and refrigerator to ensure the lines are empty for the most part. Leaving the tanks closed the alarm will go off again but only does it 2-3 times in a 24 hour period. Can I assume this is a defective testing unit which wouldn't surprise me because I've had lots of issues with this camper so far.

I would replace the propane alarm. If you still have a problem either take it to qualified service center or at the very least get out the bubble solution and start testing the connections.
Hope you have success in resolution of this issue.

I recently a new unit of the same model and that detector was doing the same thing after getting it home.
Dealership had to replace it.
