I just thought I would share my insurance coverage info. My trailer is $18 a month from American Family Insurance. It is basically covered with the same coverage as my Ram truck. It's has a $500 deductible.

Is it just the standard insurance like vehicle coverage, or is it a full warranty?

I called Progressive and they gave me good quote of $600 for a year. It’s comprehensive with collision. My travel trailer is new one.

My American Family insurance for $18 is the same coverage like my truck, full coverage, glass, theft, collision etc. If I drive over a cliff my issuance replaces both if totaled. Some insurance company's won't insure RV's while other don't like too but will at a higher rater. Insurance is based on a lot of things like your credit score, how many members in the house hold that has drivers license, age, zip code etc. I once owned 2 homes (vacation home) and the cabin was 150 miles away from my home base house. It was 20% cheaper to use my cabin address for coverage than my home. My 2022 travel trailer new maybe 3 months old, paid around $30k for it.

I never had any insurance, home or auto with the same company for more than a few years. Some insurance company's will start you out with a lower price to get you to ditch your existing insurance company. Every 6 months they slowly raise your premiums. Its always best to research the best price every year or two or you are just paying too much. The insurance company's vary on how they calculate your premiums. Some are cheaper for young people or some are cheaper for older people. Some are more forgiving with one claim and others will raise your premiums. So a insurance company for me that's cheap could be expensive for you. Neve rays you drive 15,000 miles a year, always say less than 6k miles per year. Never tell them you have additional license drivers in the house. Don't add additional drivers that are not the primary drivers. Use a different zip code if possible. You can establish a corporation in another state and insurance and restored your vehicles in that state for a fraction of other states. All legal just legal loo[p holds like the rich use.

You need to remember that it's not all about price. You need to consider WHAT they are covering and how quickly and efficiently they respond to claims. We are extremely satisfied with our coverage and service from State Farm. Having the right agent is also a factor. Some are less responsive than others.
