As you travel from site to site your cell service Amy not be as good as you thought it would be. Although you may be able to make phone calls, text and check your emails the real problem comes when you are trying to stream your TV show on Hulu, Netflix etc. You can look a your coverage map from your carrier to see what your coverage is in that area via the cell phone coverage maps. The key word to look for is "PARTNER" partner means that you are getting tour service (connection) thru another small cell phone company that usually cover rural areas. The big 3 like AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon don't make it a priority to install their cell phone towers in rural areas, it's cheaper to pay these smaller cell phones that already have a network in that area. Here's the issue with these partners. Whatever data plan you have with your cell phone carrier is throttle down but the smaller cell phone company. You may have a full data plan with unlimited data and 50gigs of hotspot but that can be limited by the other smaller company. The smaller company has a limit on streaming from users outside their own customer base, you could only have maybe 5gig of hot spot even though you are paying your primary cell company for 50gig of hotspot. So the next time your out and wonder why your are getting throttled down it could be the cell phone partner in that area. I know its very frustrating since you are paying for more data on your plan so you can surf the internet, check emails and stream your favorite tv shows. The only advice I can give is in some of the streaming medias like Netflix you can go into the network settings and change your screen quality from 1080p to 750p so you use less data when streaming.
