Has anyone replaced their 2/way propane/electric fridge with a residential fridge? I heard you gain more food storage space, safer, more efficient and frozen ice cream : )

We have had one in the past, yes to all your statements, but if you boon dock, it's not advisable. But we always have frozen ice cream with either refer.

Why can't you have frozen ice cream in an absorption freezer?

I can have frozen ice cream but I have to keep the temperature set all the way up (5) then some things start freezing in the bottom of fridge. I rather have an all electric residential or a 12v/110v fridge and gain the extra space. I would double the solar panels on the roof too.

I guess I must be lucky. My evaporator refrigerator is 5 degrees F in the freezer, 35 degrees in the refrigerator at 4 out of 5 stars temperature setting with an 85 degrees F ambient temperature.

Mine is 5 below zero in freezer and 25 degrees in the fridge. I have to turn if only on number 3 out 5 on the dial to keep things from freezing.

I use a battery operated fan in the main part to keep air circulating and from freezing. Seems to work just fine.

I got a battery power fan in the fridge too but the wife packs so much food in it if you poured water on the top rack it would never rich the bottom : )
