last 2 campouts ran the furnace, when we initially go to the campsite, to heat up the trailer. ss302vrb. the heater kept cycling off and on short time cycling, constantly. living room thermostat, (which runs the furnace) read 76, bedroom thermostat read 68. we were eating supper, had the tv pulled out to watch. when finished eating, went to push tv back in to view while in theater seats. when putting tv back in, I noticed hot air on my right hand. the vent on the floor is not far from the wall that the thermostat is on. the vent is bi-directional, it's blowing hot air straight up the wall to the thermostat. no wonder the furnace was short cycling. I called Venture Technical and advised them of the situation. the gentleman on the phone said he understood and would bring this to the production team my solution, bought another vent, used scroll saw and cut out one end of vent vanes. turned them around and hot glued back in. now all the air should blow away from the thermostat. see the attached photos, to see where the vent is placed in the floor. And my photo of the modified vent grill. not the best work, but hopefully this will help the situation.

You only need to post in one place since all new post are hi-lighted. It keeps all comments on the subject in one place, also.
