Has anyone had trouble traveling with food in there refrigerator that is mounted in the slide? We had drinks and food in our fridge and when we got to where we were going the slide had fallen. It is a 2022 sonic light.

Our Sonic Lite fridge is packed full. We use curtain extension rods you can buy at Walmart for $2, we use the extension rods in the fridge, cabinets and I use them in my pass thru storage compartment. You never know if your pass thru storage door is going to pop open and you drag your water hose down the road. We use the rods in our bathroom to keep thing tight up against the back wall of cabinet or fridge to keeps things for jumping out.

I've heard of people using semi-inflated beach balls to contain things in the fridge. We always put the cold food back in the cooler for travel. We have no slide-out.

I don't think y'all are understanding what is meant by "the slide had fallen". Yes, I had a similar experience. The problem was when they built the trailer at the factory, they cut the opening in the outside wall too big. When they installed the slide system, they butted the H columns up against the opening in the wall. This resulted in too much gap between the gears in the H columns and the rails on the side of the slide room. After the first couple of times pulling the slide in, it would make a popping sound and fall. Going back out, at the end of the outward movement it would make the same popping sound and correct itself. The dealer had me take measurements to prove the H columns were too far from the gear rails and then Venture RV replaced both side slide mechanisms under warranty. Here is the link to the measurements you need to take: lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws.com/quickreferences/ccd-0002661.pdfI can't believe you got comments about stuff falling out of the refrigerator. LOL! Get it fixed quick before it goes out of warranty!

There was food mention in the problem but also mention a slide issue. What does the fridge have to do with the slide? I guess the food in the fridge threw us off.

As I stated, we don't have a slide. After doing the research, didn't want the issues that come with them. We like the KISS method. After years in maintenance, I was tired of making stuff work that were poorly designed and assembled. I responded to Earl's comment on the rods. My bad.

The refrigerator is mounted in/on the slide, I believe we might have the same problem, the mobile repairman stated that the bottom of the H track was twisted at the bottom where it meets the wall.

Yep, and likely the whole mechanism, at least on that side, needs replaced. Get it in under warranty ASAP!

Our fridge, stove and pantry are all mounted in the slide on our 343vik. Fortunately we've never had a problem with it. Get it fixed under warranty and don't let them tell you that it's something that you caused.

Best of luck! I have not had a single problem with the slide after they fixed it.

It's the big bumps on the road that can cause a problem, sometimes it's impossible to miss those pot holes. A better suspension would help like. MorRyde 3000 system. Tbhey give the tires and wheels more travel space for bumps.
