I just bought my Sonic lite trailer and had question about adding another battery so I can boon dock a little longer. How long can you go with 2 batteries?

That all depends on your usage of the batteries. My dual batteries seem to get fully charged by lunch time everyday during full sun shine. The only thing that runs off your batteries is your lights, water pump, furnace fan and refrigerator. if you are talking about dry camping without any hookups, then you will wan to make sure you use your propane for refrigerator, furnace, stove and water heater. Your microwave, electric water heater, TV and A/C will not work from batteries. the experts say if you plan on boon docking more than 75% of the time without any shore power than you will need to buy Lithium batteries. You will also need to install a 2000watt inverter so you can operate everything except your A/C in the trailer. I would invest in a 2400watt or bigger generator to recharge your standard batteries. You can watch TV and run everything except the A/C. To run the A/C would require a 2800watt or bigger generator. If you decide to just add another battery it must match exactly the existing battery, same brand and rating model etc. I would also have a 2nd propane tank as a backup. Gas Fire pits can blow thru propane fast. My wife does the navy shower every morning, I go every other day and our gray take for the bathroom (sink/shower) will be the 1st take to fill up. If we are frugal we might make it 1 week and have to dump. The other gray take for the kitchen will fill up full after the 1st gray tank. The black tank would fill up 3rd. allredplace, put your model number in your personal info so it shows up in your signature/photo area. I have the Sonic Lite 169VRK.

That would depend very largely upon the Ah rating and type of battery. You do need to keep the two batteries the same. If I didn't run 2 cpap's all night long, my 2 6-volt 220 Ah golf cart batteries would probably go a week without recharging if I was very careful on 12v DC electrical usage. NOTE: 2x 220 Ah lead acid golf cart batteries provide about 110 Ah usable capacity without shortening the life of the batteries.

I agree with the rest of the posts. It all depends on what type of battery setup you have, whether or not you have recharging capabilities, and what your usage is.
