We are getting the last of the items that we need to start camping as we pick up our trailer in 2 weeks. What length of sewer (Slumpy) hose can you fit within the bumper?
Thanks, Jason

I believe you can fit 2 X 10 footers, maybe a 10' & 15'. I carry 2 10' ft and 1 15' ft and 1 5' ft. I use a "Y" connection so I can hook up to both dump valves and not having to move the hose back and forwards.

The only problem I found storing them in the bumper the fittings are a bit tighter than I expected making them a chore to get in or out, I confess that is mostly on cold days, lol. I use a plastic container big enough to put them in and has a lid, then in the outside storage they go.

The standard bumpers are 4.5"X4.5". The sewer hoses are 4" and so down the road the inside of the bumper start to form rust making it harder for the sewer hose to fit and get stuck. I spay WD40 in my bumper to keep it from rusting. Not all my hoses fit in the bumper so I have to use a tote in my pass-thru storage. I keep all the attachments with it too.

I hadn't thought about being able to dump both valves at the same time.

Do you have a certain type of tote to prevent the smell from wafting inside the front room? Is that a problem or am I overthinking this one?

I use the "Sewer Solution" to dump at the house. It uses water pressure to act as a macerator. I've got some 1" PVC pipe stored in my bumper. I've dumped once at a campground, but was on a full hookup site. Attachments:

When I dump I always dump the black tank 1st as you should and then you dump your gray tanks, Dumping your gray tanks is mostly soap water from sinks and shower so it rinses the sewer hose out. I have caps I on put on the sewer hoses and then they are placed into the tote with a 4 clamping lid handles. I don't have any problems with smell or the wife would let me know.

You can also buy magnetic end caps for the bumper. The sewer hose attaches to the end cap so when you remove the end cap the hose comes with it.

I use an "under the bed" storage container to keep the extra hoses and attachments in. I keep miscellaneous stuff in a second one. I can stack one on top of the other and the little wheels make it easy to get them out of the pass through storage. Buy extra bayonet caps to put on the ends of the hoses and the ends of the "Y" fitting and you won't have an issue with odor. I keep my oldest hose in the bumper.

I just bolted a pair of "Valterra A04-5094BK RV Adjustable EZ Hose Carrier" to the frame and keep a 15' in each of them. No reason to carry the hose inside when you can keep it under the trailer. All of my accessories live in a box I bolted to the tongue where the batteries used to be.

I purchase 2 5" 8 foot square vinyle fence post from Lowes and installed them under my trailer. I could keep my water hoses, sewer hoses, antenna poles, fishing rods etc in them. I remember they were much cheaper than buying that ones from Camping World.

The square fence posts are cheaper, but the purpose-made ones have the advantage of being black and they’re lockable. I don’t have any illusions that they’re actually secure (I use a carabiner anyway, not a lock), but it reduces the chances of them coming open on the road, and of a random kid opening it up as they walk past. I’ve discovered bored children at campgrounds tend to open and pull on things that aren’t secure. Why people can’t teach their kids to not touch things that don’t belong to them I’ll never understand.
I also don’t buy from Camping World unless I need something last minute. It’s far cheaper to order direct from manufacturers, Amazon, or online RV stores that have discounts.
