Does anyone have any hints/tips on removing the panels on the under side of a Sonic? I need to get under there to fix a brake wire short somewhere and am wondering if there’s a good way to break into the undercarriage.
Thanks in advance!

Assuming your underbelly is the same as that on my Stratus (a long sheet of black "coroplast" corrugated plastic) then you can get access by removing the self tapping screws holding it up to the frame cross members, and then sliding your hand between the coroplast and the side frame rails and "bowing" it towards the center so you can pull it down. It's easier in areas where nothing is in the way, but once you get a small area down you can work more of it out. If you want it all the way off (which I don't recommend) it'll require some cutting around drain pipes, but odds are you'll be able to do what you need without removing it entirely. It might be easier to run new wire and attach it to trailer externally.

I actually found the wire in question— it was inside one of the axels and the insulation was worn off. I had thought about the external route but the brake wires (and everything else) all go right under the belly at the front of the box, so I would have had to take it down up there anyway.
