Thanks just trying to learn about the stability in the Venture units. We have a new Sporttrek Touring 272VRK that we love and going to be camping in it hopefully soon.

Looks good freeman68. I put JT's on our former Montana. They are in the plans for our new Sporttrek too.

I got noticeable stability improvement (lengthwise) when I started using tire locking chocks. Can you comment on the stability of one versus the other (assuming you've used tire chocks before)?

The tire X chocks we do use. I think we want to get less "bouncing" when stomping around inside the rig. We get it even with our dog walking around, although he is a 75 pounder. We are going to try some of the pyramid type adjustable jacks and see how that works, then go from there.

Anyone... What brand of tire X chocks have you found that might work best to help with stability? We have the 2021 STT272VRK thanks Edit Add: My husband sure has heavy feet :-)

Maybe it's just me, but I'm in a mobile container on wheels and tiny stilts. I expect a little movement.

Poor man's version of this would be to cut a couple of 2x4 add some eye-hook screws, put them diagonally against the frame and ground, then use a ratchet strap to connect two of them from opposite sides. Most of the movement may be from the wheel springs on a camper, so I put them somewhat close to the wheels. Sorry, no pics right now. Camper is still in the shop, waiting for parts since mid of January.
