Hello All.. picked up a 2021 Sportrek Touring STT272VRK last month and absolutely love it! The coach was pre wired for Go Power Solar with the wire port installed on the roof. My question is where do these wires terminate in the coach? I’m looking to install a charge controller and Inverter but need to locate these wires so I can plan my next steps. Thought I could find the wires above the t-stat where I have seen Go Power Controllers installed in other units, but didn’t see them. I removed most covers and light switches to probe around a bit without success. Could be that I’m just missing them. Would really appreciate it if anyone has tied into the Go Power Solar prep can help me find the wires in the coach. Will be doing a lot of Boondocking this summer. Thank you and happy camping!

My question is where do these wires terminate in the coach? I am wondering the same thing. I want to install a solar panel but I want to make sure there is some device connected to the batteries and they do not overcharge.

On the STT272VRK video, on the Venture website, they show in that video a control panel above the thermostat. The dealer I'm working with on a warranty item, at our request, is asking Venture where the wires go. I'll be taking our unit back in 4/8 so if I hear anything will post it.

Thank you very much! Thinking the same thing, I removed the thermostat and the Level Mate Pro Module in the Bathroom. Pulled out all the wires and didn’t see anything that would indicate being for the solar controller. I Purchased my unit from a dealer 500 miles away and the closes to me is still 200 miles away. Love Venture and this model! No easy way for me to bring my unit in. Just need to hopefully figure this out and I’m all set. Thanks for checking in with your dealer.

crhuber, You got me curious. We must have missed the Go Solar change-up or something on our Sporttrek. We have a Furrion solar panel access port on the side of the rig. Looks like I need to see if we have something like that on our roof. For now, we got a Renogy 200 watt suitcase set up that has the built in controller and cables, but had to get the adapter to the Furrion plug. This solar stuff is another learning experience for me for sure.

Hi Jim..maybe it was a change for this model year. Would love to see a side port to plug in a portable Solar Array. Just cannot locate anything on my new unit. Definitely have the Go Power Solar wires and Weather Proof fitting on the roof. Mystery from there. Lol. Will be boondocking in June so hope to have it all figured out by May. Hoping the thread gets some traction to get some guidance.

Just curious if the Go Power Fitting on the roof is an actual plug in or just an access port. Our Furrion plug is supposed to be wired to our batteries so that all we have to do is plug in the suitcase and it charges them. I am having thoughts about checking with Renogy to see if I can convert the suitcase to a roof installation due to our security worries when the case is set up ,i.e. that it will be gone if we leave them unattended. Also the suitcase is heavy to lug around for this older body, but it would give me a good workout lol. In that regard I wish we had your setup. Maybe Venture can tell you if the wiring on yours is set up like our Furrion ,so that all you might need to do is install the panels and plug them in. That would be the best for sure. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that is what you got going there. Definitely following up on what you do to get it running. Good Luck.

It sounds like the Go Power wiring and the fitting is on crhuber''s rig. Is so then it sounds like all it needs is the panels on the roof mounted and connected. I'm not sure about where inside the rig the wires come out to hook up a control panel, along with how the batteries get wired in too. This definitely a steep learning curve for me..lol.

Well my panels came in today along with controller. Still not sure of where the Go Power prep wires come into the rig. Definitely have the black and red wires on the roof to plug in too. Since the moderator has not chimed in, I may just have to run new wires and abandon the Go Power prep. Local dealer was not sure and all videos and pictures I have seen on this unit is that the controller is meant to go above the t-stat sharing the bath wall. Unless the wires are hanging hi up by the ceiling, all my probing could not locate it there. Ugh! I’m running out of time and want to get the solar up and running this month. Will wait a little longer for a few on the thread who are still hoping to find the location as well. Thank you all for any help with this. Cheers, Chris

At CRHUBER, did you call Venture yet? They may talk with you on the phone and be able to help.

If you find an electrical guy, there are transmitters that could attach to the roof wires and the receiver can trace the wires inside. I picked up an Amprobe set off Ebay. Klein has some inexpensive ones on Amazon and at Home Depot.

Thank you Michael. Totally didn’t think about calling Venture directly. 🤔 Will give a try today.
Thank you “WrkrBee”. Was thinking of that as well. . Just need to pick up a toner. Hopefully have it all figured out soon. “B&N” is also taking his identical rig in for service on 4/8 and will be checking with his dealer. I fell in love with the Sportreck Touring models and went 500 miles away to Virginia to buy my unit. No dealer within 3 plus hours from me. Chomping at the bit here with the weather getting better. Lol. Chris
