Thought we might start a thread on everyone letting other Venture Folks when and where they plan to camp. It might be nice to know and have some mini-rallies too. Also a way to maybe set some up this way too.

Ok , since I started this thread, I'll go first. Memorial Day weekend , we will be at Copalis Beach RV Park on the Washington coast. A return trip for us there. The DW likes it and our kids and grandkids like it, so we will have 3 rigs there. hopefully we might run into a Venture or 2 there.

We are headed to the Kalkaska RV & Campground in Kalkaska, MI for the last week of May. It will be our first trip with the 190VRB. Wife is nervous as a cat on meth!

We will be at the KOA in Williamsburg, VA next week. Only our 2nd trip with our 343VIK and really looking forward to it! We love the KOA at Williamsburg. We went there for Halloween weekend last year. I think it was our second or third trip with our 343VRB. We had a great time and plan to visit for Halloween again this year! We're new to RVing so we've been sticking with the KOAs so far. However, this year we plan to branch out and check out some non-KOAs.

We are still relatively new (only camping for a few years) we really like the KOA’s so far. We have gone to some private campgrounds using our Passport America discount and just find that the KOA’s seem to be nicer and a middle ground between small campgrounds and the larger resort style. We want some of the nature.....lol, but still want some amenities.

Last weekend we went to Glen Ayr RV Resort on the Hood Canal branch of the Puget Sound and Salish Sea. Very nice place. Our spot was a bit tight for our VFK, but the locale and amenities of the place made up for that.

This 4th of July Weekend we are going out with Mini along with our kids' and their Keystone Cougar to Friends Landing an RV park with just 22 sites in Montesano, Washington. Located on the Chehalis River, a well known Salmon river. Going for a wedding, and of course Independence Day festivities on the Pacific beaches close by. The folks wedding we are going to reserved the entire park for 2 of the 4 days to hold their wedding, so it might just get a little crazy.
Next post will have our next scheduled (ad)Venture in July.

Ok for July ... Mini is going to Ocean Shores Washington Elks Club RV Park July 16, for 2 days for the Annual Summer I.O.B.G. District 1 Picnic(FYI google I.O.B.G.). We will Venture on down early on the 18th about 200 miles south for 1 night at our Thousand Trails Park at Pacific City, then for 4 days about a mile away at Cape Kiwanda RV Park with California friends and their SOB RVs. If that doesn't finish us we will return to Randle, WA and stay at our Brother's retreat that has 4 dedicated RV spots for family and friends, then home Monday to let Mini rest up from this trek at her Bonney Lake home.

Spent the last week at Jellystone in Natural Bridge, VA. Saw 2 Sporttreks! While the campground had a lot of stuff for kids, we were a little disappointed with our experience overall. Camp store was horrible (what camp store doesn’t have stuff for s’mores!), staff was not friendly. Site was nice and wide, but had short poles that were in the way to back in our site.
