2021 251vrk here recently purchased. Curious as to were your sticker for TV mounting backing is located? Mine is located on the wall opposite the entry door(outside door not interior door) to the bedroom. The TV prep(antenna coax, outlet...ect.) however is on the ceiling directly above the door more less on the opposite side as the sticker. Surely this must be a mistake on the sticker placement in my case, as you wouldn't have or want to run coax and extention cords across the camper.

ST 251 VRK Bedroom wall.pdf (31.26 KB) Noise, The TV backer is located in the front bedroom wall approximately 32” center from the left outside door sidewall and approximately 7” down from the ceiling (drawing attached). The drawing I've attached is of the front bedroom wall. For whatever reason, the backer locating label was placed in the wrong area.

It must be a "model" specific thing for a sticker for TV locating. Our VFK doesn't have one in the bedroom. I just plan on beefing up the closet wall to install a swing bracket. I think even if it had a sticker , I would still add support, IMHO.

I was really hoping I was wrong and that "backing" board was somewhat loose behind the wall and would tighten up when putting a screw into it. There's nothing back there anywhere in the vicinity of the location provided above or anywhere along that wall I could find other than the 3/4" wide "studs".

That sounds like something I always seem to find when I want to do something like that. I end up with me "engineering" it. Hope you can get it "backed up. nice to hear how it works out for you . Good luck.

Good luck. It's merely a 19" flat screen so it really doesn't weigh much(9ish pounds). 2 1-3/4" deck screws into the "stud" should be ok. Regardless would have been nice if there was a backer there.

The sticker in my 251VRK for the tv backer is close to doorway from the bedroom into the living area, clearly also just stuck on without any regard to where the real backer is. I followed the diagram you attached and using my stud finder I found all the 3/4 " wall studs as well the wooden backing board in the exact same spot as the diagram. Drilled six pilots (1/8th) and all six wood screws bit in solidly to the wood backer plate. The TV mount is very solid and I can also confirm that the cable outlet in the bedroom also works with the built in Digital TV antenna on the roof. Attachments:

Hi All, Just an update and some friendly advice to any owner installing a smaller (mine is a 32 inch) TV in their RV. Before selecting your TV pay careful attention to the wall mounting threads on the back of your TV. If they are plastic I do not recommend using it if you plan to travel. The TV I installed did have plastic threads and the top right thread stripped out during travel. It stayed mounted but only with 3 bolts. Luckily I have another 32" that has brass threads for the wall mount so I swapped them and this one is far sturdier. Lesson learned...

We remove the TV for travel. Ours has a Vee Dovetail bracket on the wall. Unplug, pick it up, and place it face down on the bed.
