We recently purchased a ST312VIK. Upgraded from a Keystone Hideout 232LHS.
We are hoping to love the new trailer; so far there has been good and bad. Venture needs to address some basic QC issues, especially with regards to clean-up and ensuring all water fittings are tight. We had an initial issue with out city water hookup not being tight so when testing the system at home I had water spraying into the baggage area when the water was turned on. The fitting wasn't even close to being tight so I won't except that it may have loosened up during travel, it was essentially connected with first threads only. Other issues are sawdust everywhere, PEX chips in the plumbing lines, sawdust in the plumbing lines, screws for cabinet door latches splitting the face frame so they won't hold through the years, Cover for the main A/C installed backwards resulting in a very noisy vibration of the vent on the cover (taking it off and turning it around completely removed the noise), and the hose for the Camfire Cafe stove was missing (one provided by dealer but the provided hose was still to short). I have an extensive construction background so all of the issues I can address but someone who spends north of 35K on a new trailer shouldn't have to "fix" QC issues.
Okay, so that was the bad, Now for the Good.
Storage, Storage, Storage. There is more storage space on this trailer than I have seen on any other in a similar class. Overall good fit and finish for a trailer in this class. Seats and cushions are much more comfortable than our last trailer. Wife loves the sink and faucet in the kitchen. LED lighting out on the end of the awning should be better placement than up against the trailer as that placement resulted in more bugs by the entrance door. Large baggage doors on BOTH side of the pass through so you can actually reach into it from both sides, that was not the case with the last trailer. All areas needing access are easy to access, i.e water pump, water heater bypass valves, and 12v converter; at some point these areas will have to be accessed and Venture has thought that thru. A wardrobe closet on the front that actually allows for full sized hangers (our last trailer you had to use "toddler hangers" making it worthless for adult sized clothing). Venture has added many common sense feature that we had not seen on other trailers, well done!
As I started we are hoping to love this trailer, we do long distance travel a couple of trips a year, camp as often as we can get out for weekends, and plan on being semi-full timers when we retire to tour this wonderful country of ours.
Happy Travels
