Yes, I had a bracket on the wall about 10ft up that fell into the path of the camper as I pulled it out of the barn. The scrapes are small but there are three in a row for each revolultion, until about 18" unrolled. I covered them with "duct tape" and ran it out and back a few times. Seems OK..but I think I will keep this badge of dumbass as a reminder rather than spring for a new canopy.
My question is, are there any better choices than duct tape for this purpose. Certaily I cannot be the only one with a cut, scrape or torn canopy. Any advice or experience with FLEX TAPE of GORRILA TAPE?

I dont have any experience with a damaged awning, yet (knock wood), but I see CAMCO makes this....
Camco RV Awning Repair Tape - 15' Long x 5" Wide Item # CAM42623, so it must be a common need.
What is the brand of Awning on that unit you have?

I can say the Gorilla tape in clear is very very adhesive and is clear when compressed onto the item to be repaired. I have used it on fixing broken plastic storage boxes but I have not used it on an awning but think I would if needed. JMO
