Hello All, I am new to this forum. We just purchased a 2018 190vrb and are thinking of doing a few things to it. The first thing would be to upgrade the vent fan. I was considering either a Fantastic Fan or a Maxxair ( opinions welcome ). My concern is working on the fiberglass roof without doing any damage. Our last trailer was a Camp Lite and the roof was so strong that you could work on it all day without a second thought. The Sonic does not seem so stout ( any tips on that? ) The other thing that I might consider doing is upgrading the leaf spring suspension with an aftermarket upgrade kit including better bushings and equalizer link, if anyone has done this I would love some input as far as brands, difficulty, and the results. We really love our new Sonic, the floor plan is perfect for us. Looking forward to many miles of great travel! Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or comments. I look forward to getting some great help and advice from other Sonic owners on this forum. Happy and Safe travels!

We installed a fantastic fan and cover, no problem at all with the roof. It is loud, but effective. We have never had a Maxxair in any of our units. Used the Dicor self leveling caulk, liked it as well...I worked from the side off a ladder with minimal weight on the roof...

I would be hesitant standing on a fiberglass roof, myself (175lbs)... Maybe you could put ladders on both sides and make a scaffold if you really need to be "up top"?

I strongly advise against it."
