We have a 302VRB and not sure if the fridge is working properly. I have it turned all the way up (to the very coldest) and put in a fridge thermometer. With no food in the fridge it shows 30 degrees. Ok, that's too cold, but with food in it is at 38-40 degrees. I can't get it any colder. I wouldn't think I have to have it turned up all the way.
I checked the seal and it seams to be fine. Freezer seems ok as well (although there is frost in it).
Not sure if it is operating normal or if I need to take it in for service.
Does anyone have this same issue?

Per my experience, RV fridges typically don't seem to be quite as efficient. I would have the following questions to determine if you have an issue: How long after you added the food did you check the temp? Was the food cold when you added it to the fridge? Typically a fridge will keep its temp best when it's full, not when empty. But cooling down warm content will take time, especially if it's not just air. If you had it at 30, opened it for a while without anything in it, most of the cold air will have dropped out of the fridge, replaced by nice room temp air. So the fridge will have to work hard to cool all that down, again.

I added cold food to the fridge and checked it about 18 hours later and the temp had risen to 39 degrees. This is not my first TT and my older one which was shore power/gas was much colder (I only had it turned half way up). This is my first one with 12 volt only.

Sounds like you have a defective one. Mine, also a 12V furrion, does not have that problem.

We had the TT at the dealer for a couple of service checks and winterization. They tested the fridge and they state it is working properly. I still don't think it should need to be turned all the way cold. I think I'll reach out to Venture themselves for advice.

Just a thought, and my $.02 for you baml. Venture might have some insight on the refer, but I think Furrion should be able to address your concerns, since they designed and built it. Like all things RV we are at the mercy of the suppliers to the coach builders. I really hope they can get you fixed up. I am not enamored with the new 12v refers no matter who makes them even though they say the tech is better than it used to be. Part of fueling the market is "off the grid" RVing which is becoming more popular. I get that, but wish it would be better for us, the customers. I also think some of the problem is supply chain problems in the RV industry we've seen the past year.. Possibly the refer folks that make 2 and 3 way refers like Norcold,Dometic, etc can't supply enough units, giving Furrion a shot at selling 12v units to them for all the RV models, not just the off grid units.
