We have the STT272VRK 2021 so we've had the TT almost one year. So working through some upgrades. We're going to add up to 400ah lithium batteries, charger/inverter, etc. We seem to camp in shade quite a bit with being on the east coast. So thinking we'll be be putting about 400Watt solar panels on roof. And thinking about putting the batteries in the storage area.
Any other suggestions of where to put batteries / equipment? We thought about putting the equipment on dinette but it's a slide. We thought about under the bed but it's a slide. We thought about putting it in the closet next to the entry door but the dealer is recommending we keep it close to the location of old battery. What's your experience or suggestions for battery/equipment replacement?
Any suggestions for 200watt solar panels?
I'm also on a Facebook for solar so I'm learning and asking that group too.

Based on my experience, battery location I've kept on my frame at the hitch, I have 3 group 27 AGM 95Ah batteries and they fit with an added support frame. If you need more room I suggest the front storage. Solar cells need full sunlight to reach anywhere near full rated output and optimally when they can also be adjusted to point right at the sun. I have 2 180 watt panels mounted each on their own adjustable portable stand on the ground. Also be sure to use a heavy gauge wire to connect your panels to your solar charger for maximum efficiency.
