Hi All - We took delivery of a 2022 Sonic 211VRB in late September, and did one trip before we winterized it for storage. Our previous camping was in the '70s with a Camel Oasis 3 (pop-up camper), so we are not new to camping, just not recently. Our trip this year was a 4-day, 3-night outing...there were some minor glitches the first night when we started the heater for the first time. The CO2/Propane alarm went off (4-5 times) due to the new paint burning off before it settled down and stayed quiet. The uWave oven needed to be partially removed in order to plug it in. The next morning, while making toast, we tested the Smoke Alarm! That problem was fixed by just re-locating the toaster. The Murphey Bed was very comfortable and a quiet campground provided three good nights of sleep!
I added an after-market back-up camera, downloaded the Levelmate Pro to my phone, so backing into the campsite and leveling was a breeze.
Our dealer, Southwest Wholesale RV in Sheldon, IA, was very helpful/informative during the sale and again when we did the first hook-up to our Ford F-150. They also gave us the number for sending HELP messaging which got used that first night and they were very prompt to answer my questions even though it was after-hours! We are very impressed with these folks at SWRV! The first winterizing was included and that was a hands-on tutorial, so I am confidant that we will have many good times next camping season!

Sounds like you had a great first experience! I have a Sonic 231VRL. In order to keep the water heater from setting off the CO detector on propane, I had to remove the burner and hose out all the stuff that was left over in the combustion chamber. No problems since. On my old rear kitchen Geo Pro trailer the toaster would set off the smoke alarm. I replaced the smoke alarm with a dual detection type that mounted to the ceiling with just 1/8 turn. The toaster would still set it off, but it was much easier to relocate the smoke detector to the very front of the trailer by tossing it onto the bed then it was to relocate the toaster.

That was a great 1st trip. Especially for a new unit. I had a problem with my CO2 detector and the dealer actually replaced it (+4yrs old) but it was really a dead battery issue. I am interested in your backup camera. What unit did you get? Was the trailer pre-wired for install or do you have a wireless unit?

Congratulations on your coach and it sounds like you had a pretty typical "shakedown" trip. As you will see here at the VFF, it is unusual not to find something that needs to be addressed on the first trip. It seems like there is always something that can go haywire or bad anytime. Just part of the RV experience. A long time ago I decided to embrace and learn than get all upset and let it ruin my ownership. Enjoy your "Venturing".

For $128 I got a wireless back-up camera and monitor from Amazon which would plug into the Furrion power jack that was pre-wired on the trailer. It came with a 7" 1080hd monitor...easy install and it works great!

We got the LeeKooLuu Wireless Backup Camera for RV - HD 1080P LeeKooLuu 7 Inch Touch Button Monitor - High-Speed Rear View System - $129.99 is the current price. It was compatable with the pre-wiring for a Furrion camera, so installation was a breeze.

Awesome!! We just picked up the same trailer on Nov18th. so we haven't had a chance to take it our yet but we're chomping at the bit! Luckily it's been raining here so we've had a chance to look for any leaks (none found!). No we just need to order all the goodies for it. My job is anything on the outside to make it work while the wife's is everything on the inside. I don't do colors or patterns LOL! Happy Camping!!

We're chompin' at the bit too! Our TT is still in winter storage and I have been seeing all the ideas others have posted on FB. We picked up some Goldpar levelers from Amazon and a Blackstone Griddle with a quick-disconnect gas hose that I am anxious to try out.

Hi yall. We picked up our Sonic SN211VRB 3 weeks ago. We go out for our shake down trip next week. We traded up from a pop up. We are so excited to get out there and camp with our new home away from home.
