We just got back home from over shakedown campout in our new 2022 Venture SPORTTREK TOURING EDITION STT343VIK. We had a couple of issues that maybe has happened to someone that could give us some information on. Issue #1 the black and gray tank shut off valve’s are not closing all the way. I run water threw the system trying to flash out anything that may have been stuck in the valve are but no look. Issue #2 the system control panel is showing the fresh water tank as being 2/3 full. But I opened the drain valve and no water came out. Because I had drained it earlier. Going call the dealership in a little while.

On my 2021 Stratus, after a few camping trips the black tank valve cable had to be replaced because it was sticking. When the maintenance shop went to replace the cable they noticed the grey tank drain valve cable was not operating smoothly so they also replaced that cable. May be your problem.

Both ours needed to be repaired as there was glue stuck near the waste gate and it stopped them from shutting. Both has to be replaced.

I wish the dealers would do a inspection to make sure the basic thing function as they were design to, They should run the shower and all faucets to check for leaks, check all windows and blinds, check dumping valves etc. Instead they do hardly anything or us customers would not have to find all these problems on our 1st trip out. Apparently at our place of purchase dealership the trailer was hit by another employee in the yard and damaged the cargo door. Knowing we were on our way to view and purchase they took a door off of another trailer and replaced the damage door. The one thing they forgot to check was to make sure the door would stay open and up connected to the magnet. The magnets were reverse so they would not hold during our inspection. That's when we were told the door got damage and how the magnets were reversed. So they took another magnet from another door and fixed the problem. I got a email from dealers service department that parts I ordered were in and I needed to call to schedule an appointment. Apparently when they switched doors they were able to place a warranty call to replace our door but the replacement was really for the other trailer where they robbed parts which is ok with me. One thing I learned is if a dealer finds some wrong with a trailer and it needs warranty work that the warranty only comes into play after it is sold. The dealer doesn't want to fixed some on their dime, they wait until you purchase it and then they can contact warranty for repairs. Of course this impacts the customers who is just trying to go on their 1st camping trip. I think the factory should extend the warranty to the dealers to get things fixed up front before the customer buys. There is plenty of room for improvement between the dealer and the factory. I know the housing industry isn't the same as the RV industry but in houses there is an inspection by the construction supervisor and he or she will blue tape any issues and get them fix before the customers walk thru. I know we can't expect the the RV industry to have perfectly built RV's that's why there are different price levels, Most trailers are classified as being in a 1 tru 5 classification. 1 being a entry level for 1st time buyers and 5 being a luxury Rv at double or triple the cost.
