Anybody else have a torn wiper seal from rough round screw heads on a slideout that should have been countersunk or could have used flat head screws instead? I have a Sporttrek Touring 333VMI, bought new August 2021. The dealer is telling me that Venture denied the warranty claim, said it was only warrantied for 90 days and anything after that is a maintenance issue. The dealer said the skideout needed adjustment but there are screws on both sides of the Slideout that the seals rub on so they will eventually cut the slide either way because the screw heads are rough. I will be calling Venture to pursue this claim, especially since I repaired several items myself that would have been warranty but the dealer was so backed up I would have waited months to use it. The face seal (D-seal) above the same slideout is short and doesn’t run the entire length of the channel. We’ve only used the camper a few times, so pretty disappointed in this. Check your seals! Update: Dealer is telling us that the warranty claim was denied because the slide out (actually, both front slideouts) shifted during travel and that wasn’t covered by the warranty. 😳 So I’m not supposed to travel with this camper? Dealer is resubmitting to ask how to repair and keep slides from shifting again when traveling. We also called and had to leave a message for a callback from Venture/KZ. This is crazy! We’ve travelled about 800 miles since getting the camper, all paved roads, nothing crazy. Check you slideouts!
