So I am getting a bunch of bounce when towing, very noticeable in the front end of my truck. (Towing with a Sierra 2500HD, pretty stiff rear axle it seems, and keep my airbags about 25lbs, and the Blue Ox equalizers pretty tight.)
Maybe a rear kitchen?
We travel with all tanks empty, very little gear in the trailer itself, especially not trying to add anything behind the trailer axles.
Does anyone know for the 272VRK where the freshwater, 2 gray, and 1 black tank are actually located in reference to the trailer axles?
So many questions from a newbie!
Thanks, Bob
Here's some general specs also: Dry Weight 7,140 lbs.
Payload Capacity 2,125 lbs.
Hitch Weight 820 lbs.
Number Of Fresh Water Holding Tanks 1
Total Fresh Water Tank Capacity 45.0 gal.
Number Of Gray Water Holding Tanks 2
Total Gray Water Tank Capacity 64.0 gal.
Number Of Black Water Holding Tanks 1
Total Black Water Tank Capacity 32.0 gal.

We have the 2021 272VRK with a F150 (with heavy duty payload up to 2700 and max tow 13000) with Equalizer hitch.... we're not having any issues with bouncing around. When we load we do try to load over the axles and in the bedroom. For example, we have canned items go in the closet across from the bathroom. We put lighter items like paper products in the kitchen area and any items we may need access to when traveling. Perhaps get a weigh on a CAT scale too.

I once had a bounce pulling our 5th wheel trailer at a certain speed and it turns out my tire was out of round and had a bulge on top it was hard to see until the Discount Tire tech pointed it and to was lump sided. Replace tire and no more bounce.

Thank you both! Gonna try more weight up front, like have the wife drive and I will lay on the bed. :-)

More weight in the front is better than weight on the rear to prevent less sway.

Basic rule for all trailer loading, 60% of the weight over or in front of the axle.

I should of mentioned above we dry camp most of the time so our tanks are dry (272VRK) and no issues with bouncing.
