I woke up this morning and realize that my tire pressure monitor repeater that is connected to my battery by alligators clips is still connected. Although I have the battery disconnect switch on disconnect, the repeater is connected directly to the battery and it is still using power. I have a solar panel and it keeps the batteries charged, but I don't think the repeater uses a lot of power but I will sleep better knowing I went to the storage facility and remove the alligator clips. The tire monitor is a Tire Minder Solar power. The monitor is turn off and it would not use any power from trailer or truck since it's solar. Pretty cool not to have cables hanging down one dash.

The tire minder repeater uses 75mA when transmitting and 14mA when in standby. That means it uses 1 amp maximum every 13 hours. I have mine hardwired to the trailer lights. As long as I have the running lights on, the repeater is on.

I bought a tire linx Tpms and wired it into the light inside the front storage compartment. When the battery switch is turned off so is the repeater module. There should be no battery loss and the sensors reconnect once the battery switch is turned back on.
