In response on the Sonic Board here, I followed up with a direct inquiry to Venture about delivery of our new Sporttrek. I asked about the reasons for not getting it by now. Happily I got a prompt reply. The call was from Rob Portman, he is a Regional Sales Manager for Venture. He did confirm there has been a parts shortage, particularly refrigerators and air conditioners. The units are apparently completed as far as they can, then are ready when the parts come in. I can understand the problem due to factory shut downs and the high demand for RVs. There are so many manufacturers that I can imagine the politics surrounding who gets what and when. Probably the big outfits then the smaller ones. As far as our particular unit, Rob was able to look it up since we have the VIN Number. Very helpful if you have it and want to "track" your unit. Our Sporttrek is actually completed and is parked in the ready lot awaiting to be transport. Here is the other part to the delivery dilemma. A shortage of delivery people, also due to high demand. The delivery companies have also raised their rates with this opportunity to do so. Hopefully the actual drivers get their share of the higher rates, since they do the actual work of transporting. I am on the drivers side on this. On a personal note , I drove OTR semitruck for over 40 years, but I feel a bit of Karma that I have contributed to the shortage by retirement even if I was OTR. ,

We have been given a “end of October” as a worst case scenario for our 220VRB. I hope that is true!

It would be interesting to know how many customers are in the "boat" with us. Our dealer just noted that they have 2 other Sporttreks (VBHs) sold that are on the "incoming" list plus our VFK. Luckily at least ours is confirmed complete and ready to ship. Hoping for all of us.

Update and maybe there is hope for all of us waiting for delivery. We were informed our new Sporttrek left Indiana last Thursday the 1st headed to our dealer in WA. Hopefully the rest of us will start getting their rigs sooner than later.

We have a call into our sales guy hoping he has what we want on the way.

We did change our mind and decided a Stratus worked better for us. We thought this would probably set us back further, but after a few calls we lucked out and found what we wanted - it had arrived that day without a prepurchase. We went with the 261VRL and pick it up this week. I’m thrilled!

I am being told by a dealer in Salt Lake City that if I order a new trailer this month, it will take 8 weeks for a delivery. Does anyone have a recent (2021) experience in ordering a trailer?

Actually 8 weeks for delivery?Hope that they could beat that, but it is better than it has been lately. We waited almost 4 months last year, so maybe the factory is getting the materials that were in short supply when everything shut down, and the transporters are more available too. That held ours up an additional month. Better than the manufactured home industry is doing, my brother in law was told it is an 18 month wait for those homes.

Thanks Jim. I ordered my current travel trailer August 2020. I received it January 19th, 2021. Furnace and oven shortages delayed completion from November 27, 2020 to January 2021. I'll verify the 8 weeks with the dealer when I visit them next week. I hope others on this Forum with more recent experience respond.
