I installed a board 7 1/4" X 65 1/2" onto of my dine seats and dining table. It is just laying there, not attached I stained it to match. From Home Depot about $12. It allows me to bring my 23" TV that also serves as my PC monitor. I can put my router and wifi antenna on it, paper and pens. All this stuff use to sit on the table and in the way. Now every thing is up on the shelve including keyboard, mouse and other odds and end. The best part is that it stabilizes the dining table, no more wobble. Each end of the wood rest on the wood of the back top of seats and is perfectly level with the dining top. It was the wife's side.
