I want to replace my ting bathroom fan with a Fantastic fan. Can it be done without going onto of the roof?

Probably not, unless you got long arms. You can get everything placed correctly and wired, but putting the caulking on the far side of it correctly would be the problem.

I installed a vortex fan in mine. I'm very happy with it and it is installed from inside.

Thanks I will check out the vortex fan. I will second the Vortex fan. I have the upgraded version that has the control knob that allows the user to control the different speeds. It can be on the louder side if you run it on the higher speeds, however, it definitely pushes some air. This fan can be installed from the inside without having to go through the roof at all, which is appealing if you are trying to avoid that like I was. We have used it quite a bit for extended periods of time since March without any issues. Although I cant speak for long term quality, It was a nice cheap upgrade and is easy to install. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks, I will consider the Vortex adjustable speed fan. The noise won't bother me, I'll just turn the A/C on and to will drown out a 747 : )
