Looking to buy Sporttrek Touring STT272VRK... A few reviews we read mentioned leaks with their Venture units. Is this a real issue or what has Venture done to fix issue? I know the 272VRK is a new model so hope it is not an issue. So thought I'd ask.

Great to see you here on this Forum. BTW, our kids are considering the same unit. A good layout for their family . I'm not sure about the leak issue on the 272. Seems like just about any RV that is exposed to water could have a leak, but most I have read are from cracks in skylight or fan covers on the roof. Not sure if this is only a Venture problem. We've had friends have leaks like that. Also the slides have had water problems, same thing , not just on a Venture , any rv can have that happen. for me , I take the proactive approach. When I have a water problem, I seek out the issue and fix it , so far ,no dealer involvement with any of our 5 rvs. I guess I am a DIY type , always curious when finding a problem and fixing it.

Exactly the rig I just picked up on 12/2/2020 and will be living in it full time with my wife and our pups. Read those same reviews, B&N, and I will keep updating here on whether or not I have that experience. Attachments:

Well in all truth, we actually were in the process of getting our SST272VRK. We bought it Nov 27. We loved the layout and drove from VA to Ohio to get it. We love it . Left it out this week in the pouring rain we got Monday (like 2 inches in a very short time) and good news no leaks found. :-) Take a look at my thread on the monitor panel as I'm going to post it right after this under the Sporttrek Touring section. Looking forward to sharing experiences.

FYI... Feb 26, 2021. We have our camper in for some work this week and had it leak tested (cost under $200). All was totally sealed on the Venture camper.
