Just got my Sonic Lite and tried to set up the pre-installed Level Mate Pro. I can’t seem to turn it on. Watched some videos and looks like I should push the button for a few seconds u til it beeps. However, nothing happens. I removed the face plate and it looks hardwired into the 12V system. Any ideas about how to get it working?

My first thought was, is the battery connected and is it charged? Checked for voltage to the unit? www.venture-rv.com/level-mate-pro-leveling-system/Venture-RV-Level-Mate-PRO-Wireless-Vehicle-Leveling-System-User-Manual.pdfEDIT: So, I looked at the Level Mate User Manual again (I wrote machine manuals for tire building machines for a while). The manual "writer" makes a glaring error on the title page. They use an acronym, VLS, in the title. What does in stand for? Best practice should be to use the actual wording, and then place the acronym in parentheses if it is used again in the manual, which it is used multiple times. Else, there should be an asterisk, by the acronym, with it noted at the bottom of the page. No where in the manual is "Vehicle Leveling System" used. If it wasn't in the posted link name, I probably would not know what the acronym stands for.

Yes, it is hardwired into the trailer's 12V system. The first thing to check for is 12v on the wires. Then check for proper polarity. I don't know what the colors of the wires are on the back of the unit, normally red is + and black is -.

I don't remember pushing any buttons. I just downloaded the LevelPro on my phone and when thru the setup and pairing g and it worked. I believe all the trailers are prewired for the LevelPro but not all have the actually LevelPro installed on the fixture.
