My RV had a panel held in place by four screws that had to be removed to winterize and de-winterize the water heater. Seems crazy to me that you have to remove and install screws into wood over and over again so I decided to make a change to it. Home Depot has a service where they contract with Hampton Bay to make unfinished cabinet doors. I selected maple and the style that is closest to the original doors. I added recessed soft-close hinges to the order. I added a catch to help keep the door closed when traveling. All told, delivered to my house, with tax, it was $74.77 It took about three weeks to show up after the order was confirmed. The workmanship of the door is outstanding. It was exactly the measurements I specified, it was sanded perfectly smooth, very nice maple wood was used, the hinge recesses were perfect and the mounting screw holes were drilled perfectly centered. All I had to do was stain it and install four screws for the hinges and it was ready to install in the RV. Highly recommended by this DIY guy. Home Depot Custom Cabinet DoorsI used some stain my neighbor had for his RV and it came out quite close to the factory stain. It took about 10 minutes to install and now my winterize process is tool free.
