One of our rear stabilizers has broken and we need to replace it. Was thinking I would go ahead and replace all 4 with a more heavy duty version. The ones currently on the trailer are 2,500 lbs. any suggestions on what type and weight limit I should purchase.

Welcome to the Forum from South Carolina. How was the stabilizer broken? Stabilizers carry very little load.

Good morning. I’m not sure how it was broken but when we try to put the stabilizer up it would go. The entire bolt just started to come out. Tried fixing it but no luck.

Libra 6,000 lb jacks get good reviews.

Unless your camper is designed to be lifted at the corners by power jacks, stay with stabilizers. Campers with power leveling have beefier frames to carry the loads. Most campers are designed for the loads to be carried by the axles and tongue jack, then just stabilized at the corners. I cringe when I hear people use the term "stabilizer jack", giving the impression that they can be used as jacks for leveling.
I have seen a guy set up a camper using an impact to level with the stabilizers. It took him half an hour to get it level. That also makes me cringe.

So when we are leveling the camper and need to raise one side or the other up do you recommend using more leveling blocks?

So when we are leveling the camper and need to raise one side or the other up do you recommend using more leveling blocks? Yes. After a few times leveling, you can look at your level and estimate the number of blocks it will take. I still get it wrong sometimes where the bathroom door wants to swing open and the shower doesn't quite drain. If it bugs me enough, I'll use the bottle jack to correct. Edit: Missed it by one block this week. Thought about adding one block, but it would have made the first entry step too high. We are living with it.
