So we are on a long trip in our 150VRK. When we pulled into a campground on a late Saturday afternoon, the toilet water valve would not shut off and kept filling the bowl. Tried stepping on the pedal a bunch of times until it too failed!
Called a mobile RV repair service and the guy said they didn't have the parts in stock, and would be next week maybe....but he had a brand new toilet in stock!!!!! Now its just the plastic one, not porcelain, but he brought it to our site and installed it...on a Saturday night!
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had any toilet issues? The trailer is only 9 months old!

Do you use a water filter on the campground water supply? Connect the coiled hose ends together when not in use to prevent contamination in your water hose? Sounds like trash got in the water valve, preventing it from moving. That caused the pedal to break from being forced.
If something fails, I'll take apart to see what I can learn. Can't hurt it, since it doesn't work anyway. Many times, the issue is something simple.
I've found a machine screw in a residential water faucet that would not shut off. No idea where the screw came from. It had worked its way into the cartridge preventing full movement.
I picked up two mowers that would not run. One only had a loose blade on it. The blade acts like another flywheel to carry the crankshaft through the rotation. The other mower had hit something, and half sheared the flywheel key, so it was a few degrees out of time. Replaced the flywheel key and it was fine.

Yes, use a water filter, and clean Hoses. We have been rving over 30 years, 12 of which were fulltiming. Never had a toilet problem til now. That's why I wondered.

Sometimes it's unlubed, mismatched, out of tolerance, and shoddy parts that allows o-rings to roll and seals to fold. Usually assembled by overworked, untrained, or unmotivated employees.

UPDATE: The plastic Domestic toilet has a known design defect which results in it trapping water between the 2 halves. This results in a terrible smell after a week or so. Called KZ Venture RV and talked to someone there about our toilet problems. He sent us a new porcelain Thetford toilet!!! It is working great!!! Can't ask for better service from a manufacturer.
