Winterizing

Cut your water pump on with a faucet open and follow the sound. Some pumps are accessed in an outside compartment, some are inside. It should be close to the freshwater tank.

I drain the freshwater tank and water heater (check the anode), then by-pass the water heater. I use a quick connect air fitting in the city water connection. Then, I blow (1 gallon California Air Tool compressor set at 30 psi) the water lines, sink faucet, shower faucet, and outside shower until the fog quits coming out. Blow out the low point drains, also. I go to the water pump, close the freshwater tank valve, open the anti-freeze suction valve, and blow out the water pump while it runs for 5 to 10 seconds. Blow out the black tank wash line. Then pour a cup of anti-freeze into the kitchen sink, shower drain, and the restroom sink. Then I drain the gray and black tanks to remove all the water that came out of the water lines. I see no need to add antifreeze, when there is no water in the water lines. Never had an issue. Sanitize in the spring on system refill.
