So, if your awning lights just happen to stop working, this is what I found. Someone, with a complete lack of common sense (be it an "engineer", a manager, a supervisor, or a production guy) buried a 3-amp fuse in the wall behind the switch gang. To get to it, there's a notch in the trim ring (could be top or bottom) to pop it off with. Remove the four screws retaining the switches. When reinstalling, don't be that guy, that doesn't have a clue on how not to strip out holes in paper thin wall board. Repair the stripped hole, don't be lazy and just move over and down, and mess up more wall board. When I install the trim ring, I can see the top set of stripped holes.

Nice to know, but if it happens that I have to replace the fuse, I think I'll make a new switch arrangement with a better plate as well. Not much planning went into the arrangement.
