Hi All,
I have a 2019 Sonic Lite SL167VMS Travel Trailer. I want to replace the 12v battery with a 12v Lithium Phosphate battery.
Can I just swap them out? What modifications do I need to make in order for exchange to work correctly?
Your help is much appreciated.

I have heard that the converter also needs to be changed. I'm sure others that have done it will be heard from soon.

Open the access panel to your fuses/circuit breakers and read the model number for the converter. If it ends in AD, then it is an Auto Detect model and will work with lithium batteries. If not, search the model number online to see if it is switchable as some have a toggle to change between lead acid and lithium charging profiles. If it is not an AD model or switchable, you can still use it, but it will not fully charge your lihium battery. Also, if you have a solar panel on the roof, you will have to change the charge profile on your charge controller.

Before upgrading my lead acid batteries (2017 Sonic Lite) to LiFePO4, my plan was to use the lead-acid charge converter, knowing that it would only charge them to about 80%, then rely on solar to top them off. Redodo Tech Support strongly recommended to NOT use the existing converter. I didn't want to spend the big bucks for a new, Li compatible converter for the camper, so I disconnected the converter and bought a 20A Smart Charger that I can use while on shore power or generator. I've only used it a couple of times because solar keeps the battery bank topped off. My Renogy Rover Solar Charge Controller already had a Li profile, and it's worked out great.

Both replies above are really helpful! I have the exact same question on a 2022 model. I have no manuals (yes, I can find them online, thought I'd check the forum first). The GoPower controller is switchable to lithium, I already knew that part...looking at the model number on the breaker board clearly shows "-AD-".
So I can change the solar controller & drop in the lithium battery. I'm in a 2022 231VRL, GoPower Solar Controller GP-PWM-30-SQ, WFCO Power Controller WF-8955-AD-WAGO.
I appreciate a good community forum. Thanks!
