Our 2022 169VUD started delaminating less than a year and a half after purchase. Now the entire top is completely delaminated. I opened a claim with my dealer immediately when it started in 2023 and Venture refused to do anything about it and the dealer said it was "normal". No the entire top is delaminated and the dealer wants to charge us full price to ship the trailer back to the manufacturer and have it repaired. On top of that the dealer, Curtis Trailer in Portland, OR said this is very, very common for Venture Sonics and we're just out of luck. Yet they still sell them to unknowing customers. So I'm curious, how many others have dealt with this? We took very good care of the trailer, always checked seals. Now we're stuck paying many many many thousands of dollars to fix a manufactures defect.

Unfortunately that's what we were told. And now we're stuck with $7000-$1000 repair on a brand new trailer because Venture won't cover it and neither will the dealer.

"Honest RV Roof Repair, LLC" is a company in South Carolina, and that is all they do. I would call them and ask what they have seen. 803-351-9168 or send an email at honestrvroofrepair@gmail.com.

I have a 2022 Sonic and no signs of delaminating as of yet. Usually the delaminating starts because of a crack. As you know these are none walkable roofs. I wonder if the dealer had someone walking about on your roof?

We have experienced some delamination on the front, which I was led to believe was caused by moisture getting in around the stargazer window. We are now replacing the front with aluminum and will delete the window. We are doing our own repair (it is beyond warranty) there will be a transition strip at the top where the new aluminum meets the existing Filon roof, and there is one crimp seam midway up the aluminum. The cost range we were quoted was a lot less than $7k you mention, but that doesn't include the roof. These pictures are also in the Sonic Forum thread about Stargazer Window leaks, but have much to do with delamination that apparently occurred after the window leaked. The window leak was 100% not apparent, no moisture, no mold, the trailer smells like brand new. But the outside skin started developing dents and ripples below the window on passenger side, and smaller protrusions above and around the window. The new painted metal is smooth and over a stiffer plywood backing than existed previous (what looks like a ripple in one of the photos is a reflection). This work was completed by RV Pros in Lynden WA for approximately $3k, that was for the entire front, but the roof would have been more due to many openings. I would recommend Matt and crew for any of this if you are near this corner of the country, he had it done in less than a week, including delay to wait for materials he ordered.

Wow that sucks. The front window is why we chose the Venture over other brands. I guess that was a huge mistake on our behalf. I've been talking to quite a few other people that have had similar problems with their trailer, were brushed off by Venture and stuck with the bill also. It's really unfortunate.
