There is seal/gasket about 3" wide that is attached to the trailer body and seals out the elements against the slide out. When the slide out goes out it seems to pull part of that gasket off its mount and it hangs down about 6". Almost half the length gets detached. I have reattached it many times and my latest effort was using industrial velcro. No luck. Has anybody else had this problem and hopefully a solution?
thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. This gasket is "hooked" onto a bracket on the trailer. It hooks into a groove on the top which is very hard to do and another hook on the bottom side. I will give the tape a shot. Here is picture of what I'm talking about:

I don't see anything on that seal for mounting to a bracket. An end profile would help. If the profile is damaged from a shoddy installation, sometimes you can take a hair dryer or heat gun, to relax the compressed rubber. Look on eTrailer for slide seals. www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=Slide+seals

When I get the trailer for winterizing I will take a photo of what that gasket attaches to. Hopefully in a week or so.
thanks

I have attached the tape, so I'm hoping it solves the problem. Just to close the loop, attached is picture of the bracket that the seal attaches to. Not a great picture, but you get the idea. thanks for the help.
