I am installing a DC converter for LiFePo4 with a 55 amp capacity. In reading tie install guide i discovered that BLACK is Neutral and White is HOT. This is reverse of NEC so be aware and validate your colors, the unit you remove is likely NEC compliant and with 5 wires it would be easy to rip and replace but on these units the A/C hot and neutral mater. Why, because reversing these can result in a ground to neutral variation that could impede GFCI it could also impede generator/inverter connections. Just beware. in my particular unit there is a high resistance (not diode because reads same with leads reversed) between ground and neutral. test and be sure any install is validated. Attachments:
